CO-CHAIR CASFAA COMMITTEE
ALL STUDENT LOAN ASSOCIATE TO CO-CHAIR CASFAA COMMITTEE
Carina Sanchez will lead a committee that helps more than 2,000 counselors state-wide

Los Angeles, CA (March 28, 2008) – Carina Sanchez, Educational Outreach Associate for ALL Student Loan, was elected as Co-Chair for the year 2009 of the California Association of Financial Aid Administrators Committee. The committee’s main project is organizing the High School Counselor Workshops series in the fall each year. These workshops are attended by more than 2,000 high school college counselors throughout California throughout the state.

Other projects include creating a Financial Aid Night Network, which is a database of financial aid professionals who can be called upon to present should a counselor need one. The committee also supports NACAC/WACAC College Fairs by sharing table space with the U.S. Department of Education and answering financial aid related questions during the fairs and distributing educational materials.

Ms. Sanchez’s involvement with the committee to-date has consisted of attending meetings, participating in workshops and college fairs, and providing workbook feedback and edits. This year she is Co-Chair Elect, which means that she will be job shadowing the current year’s Co-Chair so that when she takes over the position there is a smooth transition. She will official become Co-Chair in 2009, and will be responsible for coordinating meetings, overseeing sub-committees and managing the progress of the various projects.

As a nonprofit lender, ALL Student Loan has always had a community focus. The company has strong partnerships with schools and other nonprofit organizations, which provides opportunities for its staff to teach financial aid literacy to students as well as parents. Ms. Sanchez’s new position is an example of ALL Student Loan’s dedication to the community and to helping students and their families make smart financial aid decisions.
