ALL Student Loan wants to recognize an outstanding Los Angeles area High School College Counselor for successfully promoting college awareness and preparedness in his/her school. The winning college counselor will receive a $1,500 grant to support his/her college access efforts.

We invite you to support and recognize your high school college counselor by nominating him/her to receive ALL Student Loan’s High School College Counselor Of The Year Award.

As you prepare your nomination, you may want to consider the following questions:

• 1. What are the counselor’s achievements in providing college access information?
• 2. What college-related events has the counselor organized?
• 3. How has the counselor positively influenced a student’s and/or their family’s outlook on college?
• 4. What has been the counselor’s impact on the school or community?

We welcome nominations from students, parents, faculty, staff, administrators, and others. Nominations are limited to 500 words. If you want to nominate more than one counselor, complete a separate entry for each one. Counselors may be nominated multiple times.

2007 College Counselor Of The Year, Linda McGee

Ms. Lynda McGee from Downtown Magnets High School in Los Angeles, CA is the 2007 winner of the “High School College Counselor Of The Year Award.”

2. The sponsor of this promotion is ALL Student Loan having an address of 6701 Center Drive West, Suite 500, Los Angeles, California 90045.

3. The promotion begins February 1, 2008 at 7:00 AM PST and ends at 11:59:59 PM PST on May 15, 2008.

4. The promotion is open to persons who are employed by a high school in the Los Angeles area.

5. Prize: $1,500 grant to be paid directly to the school for which the winner is employed to be used for the purpose of funding college preparation and admission activities.

6. The odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received and the selection committee’s judging process.

7. The prize may not be substituted or transferred by the winner.

8. There is only one way to enter to win the Counselor of the Year Award. Counselors must be nominated by completion of a Nomination Form at www.reachingallyouth.org. Nominators must complete all nominator and nominee contact information and provide a statement of 500 words or less explaining why the nominee should be selected as Counselor of the Year.

9. ALL Student Loan is not responsible for telecommunications, network, electronic, technical or computer failures of any kind. ALL Student Loan is also not responsible for lost, stolen, misdirected, mutilated, late or illegible entry forms or mail. Entries that are generated by a script, macro, or other automated means and/or otherwise not in compliance with these rules will be disqualified. All entries received by facsimile will be disqualified. ALL Student Loan shall have the absolute right to determine if an entry form is in compliance with these rules.

10. By entering the promotion, each participant warrants that he or she has read and agrees to abide by all promotion rules and that he or she is not prohibited from participating in the promotion. Each participant agrees to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless ALL Student Loan and its subsidiaries, affiliates, shareholders, employees, officers, directors, agents and representatives from any liability arising from or related to the promotion, including without limitation, personal injury, death and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy.

11. Employees and agents of ALL Student Loan and its affiliates, or of any related entity, including any consultants and suppliers of ALL Student Loan, and their immediate family members and members of their household, are not eligible to participate.

12. The winners will be determined by a selection committee (including but not limited to ALL Student Loan employees) who will read and judge entries between May 31, 2008 and June 30, 2008. The winners will be notified on or before July 1, 2008. All results of the contest are final and binding.

13. If by reason of a printing or other error, more prizes are claimed than the number set forth in these official rules, all persons making purportedly valid claims will be subject to a second review by the selection committee to award the advertised number of prizes available in the prize category in question. No more than the advertised number of prizes will be awarded.

14. The winners will be required to sign and return to ALL Student Loan an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release, which must be returned within seven (7) days.

15. Attempts to notify the winners will be made by email, mail, and/or telephone. ALL Student Loan is not responsible for lost, stolen, late or misdirected mail. If unable to make contact with the winner within seven (7) days after ALL Student Loan first attempts to notify the winner, or if the winner fails to claim the prize, ALL Student Loan will select an alternate winner. If the original winner is ineligible or fails to return the signed Affidavit and Release(s) in a timely manner, or in the event of noncompliance with any other requirements of this promotion, the winner shall forfeit the prize in its entirety, and ALL Student Loan will award the prize to an alternate winner.

16. The official winner will be announced on our website, www.reachingallyouth.org, after the conclusion of this promotion.

17. By entering and participating in this promotion, participants consent to the use of their name, likeness, image and biographical data for advertising and promotional purpose without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
